A baseball shaped cheeseball for the appetizer.
Hot dogs and homemade onion rings for the main course.
A cute, clean, appropriately dressed kid.
(His newest word and obsession is now hat.)
And Peanuts and Cracker Jack Sundaes for dessert.
Despite all my party planning, things didn't quite go as anticipated. If you know what the score ended up being, then you know what the first disappointment was. (Congrats to the Cardinals, by the way.) Secondly, Adam ended up throwing me a curveball (get it?) when he came home from work and said he didn't want to watch the game. What? He didn't want to watch his Rangers play in game 7 of a super intense and exciting World Series? That was just the problem. It was a little too intense and too exciting for his nerves. So we ate dinner, watched the first inning, and then went shopping for Halloween costumes and shoes for Jack. We came home and the game was still going on, but we watched Baby Mama instead. Weird.
Oh well. The dinner looks cute, and so does Jack. Baby Mama was just a little more calming than any of the sports choices. Whatever Baby Mama is.
ReplyDeleteNatalie,
ReplyDeleteGood luck with trying to figure us out! I have a new nickname for Jack after seeing his picture: The Bambino... I like the sound of it! He is a future hall of famer for sure!
Bob
You are awesome! Haha I'm sure it threw you for a loop when Adam came home and announced he didn't even want to watch the game. I love that you're starting to get into baseball. Keep it up and let's be baseball buddies! Maybe the Rangers will have another great year next year too. Love and miss you!
ReplyDeleteYou just never know huh! At least you are getting good at throwing themed parties!
