Compliment

(This is Adam)

I have been keeping a list of things people have said about Jack lately. I find it entertaining. Note that none of these comments come from anybody related to us. Most are from strangers that we see when we're out and about.

1. "He is a miracle." ~ a girl working at Teriyaki Express in Rexburg

2. "You are perfect." ~ (repeated several times) a guy working in the paint department at Home Depot in Sandy, Ut

3. "Look at that beautiful baby!" "Oh, wow." ~ two ladies walking the opposite direction through the mall in Sandy

4. "¡He's so cute! ¡He's so chiquita!" ~ a couple hispanic ladies I work with. Chiquita means small, but I think it may be slang for "cute."

5. "Honestly? I'd say top five cutest babies I have ever seen."

6. "Just when I think he couldn't get any cuter, you put him in polar bear jammies."

7. "You've got to start making money off of this kid." ~ these last three are from Brittany Johnson, my former roommate's wife.

8. (my personal favorite) "He's kinda cute." ~ a cashier at Smith's Market Place. She said it offhandedly and with a thick European accent. Natalie and I thought it was really funny. We spent much of the rest of the day imitating her. I think it may be the mildest compliment Jack has ever received.

Here he is in his polar bear jammies, playing with the blocks Brad Uncle Porter made for him.

If you look at this one full size, you can see spit droplets flying. He likes to blow raspberries at me.

We went to a nice little park in Murray yesterday. I took these with my phone.

Grandma gave him an ice cream cone at Dickey's last night. He made a mess, but not too bad.

Happy Easter!

Hope you all had a good Easter. We did Easter morning around 1:00 yesterday afternoon, since Jack took a super long nap during and after church. He thought the eggs were cool because when you shake them they make noise.

 Handsome

He got to eat part of a chocolate bunny, which of course he loved.

Then, unfortunately, Adam had to go to work. So it was just Jack and I at the Drake Easter celebration. Jack didn't seem to notice that his dad was MIA, though. He was distracted by this chair.

Jack went on his first Easter Egg Hunt. He was a natural. I brought him over to where an egg was and he grabbed for it right away.

Our tactic was to get as many people snapping as many photos as possible. Then we pray that at least one of us got a good picture. These are my best.

Hey Guys, Look What I Can Do

Can't go under it. Can't go over it. Gotta go through it.

We thought he'd be stuck, but he just kept scooting and came out the other side.

And also, we're in trouble because he's figured out this...

No assistance required. He just pulls himself right up.
He's so proud of himself.

Boise

After graduation and moving out, we headed over to Boise for the weekend to hang out with the Joneses. Jack started creeping/army crawling.

Once he had the creeping thing down, he started figuring out how to get on all fours. Right now he's in the rocking phase. He gets up on all four and rocks back and forth until he topples over. Once he starts crawling there will be no stopping him. I think he's starting to map out which parts of the house he'll destroy first.

Also while we were in Boise we took a walk on the Nampa greenbelt. Jack and Grandmama stayed in the car since he was napping.

Walk walk. We like to walk. Talk Talk. We like to talk.

 I was saying "Baaahh"

They love sheep.

College Grads

Graduation felt great. I loved that Adam and I got to walk across the stage together. I think it's pretty handy that we both graduated the same semester.

We even got to sit by each other, which made waiting for the diploma part way less boring than it could have been.
Jack hated the clapping at the end, so he was screaming when we got over to him.

 Hugs from the mama
 Me and my baby.
 The whole fam.

Let's Start at the Very Beginning

Well, we're graduated and moved in. The place is still a bit of a mess, but we can tell we'll love it here. I've been so busy with finals, graduation, and moving that I'm super behind with blogging. I've kind of been dreading this because it's such a daunting task. But here it goes. Let's start way back at Christie's wedding, because I'm that far behind.

They got married at the Draper temple. It was windy, but luckily it wasn't snowing or anything. The ceremony was awesome. I liked their sealer a lot. It was really cool to be sitting on the front row next to all my siblings. I think it's pretty awesome to get to all be in the temple together.

Jack got to be babysat by Al and Ben. I hear he was pretty lame, though, and slept most of the time they had him. Then we went to Joe Morley's for the luncheon and he slept some more.

At the reception, Jack was looking extremely cute in his little green bow tie.

And Chris was looking extremely gorgeous in her pretty white dress.

I really like Melissa in the background :)

The view was awesome too.
Jack loved Grandma's corsage.

And Carson caught the garter. Look out single ladies!
